Yr9 Basketball – in our second round of matches we took on a strong Plymstock and kept it close in the first half but their height and experience kept them out in front and 34-22 winners at the buzzer. Next up was St Boniface’s and a frenetic match with early chances for both sides with a close, competitive score line. In the 2nd half their height allowed them to win a lot of rebounds to keep possession in attack and have multiple shots.
This eased them in-front and we couldn’t quite close the gap. We showed excellent attitudes and sound tactics with improved technique under pressure and we kept it close but being shorter by about 6 inches made all the difference so it ended at 12-19 to St B.
