Collecting Results
Firstly, we would like to congratulate students on receiving their results. We know that these are the outcome of many hours of hard work and dedication. We hope students have gained the grades they believe are a true reflection of what have they have achieved.
Post Results Services
Following the collection of results there are some services on offer for a limited period of time.
-
Access to script to support review of marking or to support teaching and learning
-
This service also allows you and the College access to a script to support a decision as to whether or not to request a review of marking.
-
This service also allows us, with your permission, to view a copy of your exam script to use in the classrooms and by curriculum teams to support teaching and learning. This will help us improve our practice regarding teaching and marking for following years. We encourage all students to provide permission for us to access their scripts.
Deadline: Friday 11th September 2026 5pm.
-
Review of Results
-
Service 1: Clerical re-check
-
This service will include the following checks:
-
that all parts of the script have been marked
-
the totalling of marks
-
the recording of marks
-
Service 2: Review of Marking
-
This is a post-results review of the original marking to ensure that the mark scheme has been applied correctly.
-
A marking error can occur because of:
-
an administrative error
-
a failure to apply the mark scheme where a task has only a ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ answer
-
an unreasonable exercise of academic judgement
-
The awarding body will train its reviewers to conduct reviews of marking accurately and consistently.
-
Reviewers will not re-mark the script. They will only act to correct any errors identified in the original marking.
-
It should be noted that with these services grades can go up as well as down. If your grade goes up, then a refund is provided from the exam board (note this is done on an individual paper basis rather than qualification).
-
If you wish to proceed with this, please fill in the form via the link below and make the appropriate payment to the finance office via parent pay. If you have any queries about payments, please speak to the exams office in the first instance. The cost depends on the level of qualification, service required and exam board - these are identified below.
-
Please note that if neither the payment, or the form is complete, then the request will not be put through.
-
Once this process has started, it is impossible to revert the decision to progress with this service.
-
If you would like to pursue this service, we would suggest you discuss these further in advance by contacting exams@eggbuckland.com.
Deadline: Friday 18th September 2026 5pm (for ROR Priority Service 2 (GCE AS, A-level and Level 3 VTQ), ideally please speak to the examinations office on results day due to the tight deadlines).
All services are available via this link and QR code, which must be completed by the student (not a parent/carer) as examination boards can only deal with requests directly from the student: https://forms.cloud.microsoft/e/rUKmYCuLN6
Certificates, provided from the exam boards, are usually with us for your collection around January 2027 and kept by us for a limited period. We will be in contact via parent/carer email addresses when these are available for your collection.
If you have any queries regarding any of this information, please email exams@eggbuckland.com.
We would again like to congratulate students on their results and the rewards from their hard work and commitment.
