Supporting Mental Health

At Eggbuckland Community College, we recognise the importance of supporting students as they develop emotionally, socially, and mentally. We all have Mental Health and just like Physical health, we all need support sometimes when we are struggling. Adolescence is a difficult time for a number of reasons but we are committed to providing the highest standard of care for our students and ensuring we are doing all we can to help them with their Mental Health.

Our Inclusion and Pastoral teams includes staff trained in: Counselling, STORM training, Trauma informed training in addition to years of experience providing high quality Pastoral care.

School based anxiety

It is important to acknowledge that school can present challenges for a number of reasons and can cause some anxiety for students at times. Whether this is exam based, peer issues or attachment issues, we are dedicated to do all we can to remove or minimise any anxieties where possible. Students deserve to feel happy and safe in school so we look to support students in a variety of ways to ensure they feel this way.

Children's Mental Health Week

As parents and carers, you play an important role in your child’s mental health. We want to help empower children of all ages, backgrounds and abilities to work together to create a positive change for their mental health and wellbeing. We want all children and young people to be able to say – and believe - “My Voice Matters.”
Families, parents and carers can get involved too! Attached is one of many resources available in the link below:
