Revision

This week the Year 11 after College support sessions have started. These sessions run for all Year 11 students from 3:05 – 4:05. We would like you to encourage your child to attend especially if they feel that they would like extra support in a particular subject.

We are pleased to be able to offer students the opportunity to purchase revision guides specifically aimed at the courses they are studying at a discounted price from the recommended retail price.  We will make these books available to pay for via parent pay in 2 order windows throughout the year.  We will inform you of these windows by letter.

Our expectation is that students in Year 9 should be completing at least an hour of study at home every evening increasing to an hour and a half in Year 11. Students should complete study at home even when they have no set homework to complete. Revision guides give excellent support for students studying at home and will allow students to independently go over topics they are finding difficult.  There are also many free resources available online.
