U16 Girls Badminton

Our girls started their Plymouth Schools central venue season with enthusiasm and nervousness combined. Immy B showed her power and led the way with Franz B and Lilly G backing her up nicely and developing confidence and aggression the more they played.

Playing Hele’s first up was a hard task but matches were close, with 3 going to the last few points and one doubles game into overtime to get a winner. However, Hele’s made the most of their chances when it was tight and eventually came out 4-1 winners.

Stoke Damerel were next, and with the tight games beforehand, our girls had gained confidence from competing well against Hele’s so started to think quicker to play the shuttle into spaces and hit harder. Convincing early wins leave us 3-0 up with 2 games yet to play to finish the match.
