U14 Rugby - West Devon Cup v Plymouth College

Tenacity personified! In the words of our Capt, Henry S, in his pre-match team talk – “this is going to be a tough one boys, but we keep going and work for each other!” Indeed it was, against a very strong Plymouth College side who are well drilled and physically well developed, and include Rugby scholarship players; we fought hard, had good spells with the ball and certainly developed our defensive tactics and technique. Despite being unable to score we stuck at it and the game was well-managed by the Plymouth College staff so that we stayed motivated. Our debutants, Alfie S and Nate V, played well and our Yr8s, playing up a year, were excellent! Backs PoM was Henry N and Forwards PoM was Shane M. It was a great experience to play a quality team and their development in body and mind will pay dividends in the Yr9 Rugby Festival next Friday.
