Almost 70% of the cohort achieved at least the expected standard in both Maths and English, with two thirds of students achieving a Grade 5 or above in Maths or English.

Top performers with impressive grades across a range of subjects include:

• Melina Elogbi,

• Faith Coole,

• Leo Cordner,

• Daniel Jones,

• Ellie Hodges,

• Lucas Bleasdale

Melina has said: “I couldn't have done it without the support of my teachers and friends, and I'm excited to enter a new chapter of my education."

We also recognise Poppy Hankin, May McAuley, Cory Price and Holly Roberts who all made outstanding progress throughout the year.

Balancing the demands of GCSE study with high-level sporting commitments is no small achievement, and Ellie Hodges and Louie McCue have both achieved remarkable success beyond the classroom as well as securing excellent academic results. Ellie earned her Black Belt in Taekwondo and continued working towards her 2nd Degree qualification alongside her GCSE studies. Meanwhile, Louie qualified for the National Diving Finals and competed above his age category at the Armada Cup 2026, winning silver in the 3m synchro event and additional silver medals in both the 1m and 3m diving competitions.

Many students will now continue their education Eggbuckland’s thriving Sixth Form.

Head of Year 11, Helen Mullally commented:

“I could not be more proud of our Year 11 students and everything they have achieved. Their results are a true reflection of their hard work, resilience and determination over the past two years. It has been a privilege to watch them grow and develop throughout their GCSE journey. A huge thank you to our dedicated staff, parents and carers for their continued support. I wish every student the very best for their next chapter and look forward to welcoming many of them back to Eggbuckland next year as they begin their Sixth Form journey.”

Principal, Heather Lilley, said:

“We have been incredibly proud of this year group throughout their time at the College. They have embraced school life with positivity, compassion and dedication and have approached every challenge with resilience and determination. Whether they are returning to our Sixth Form or moving on to college, an apprenticeship or another pathway, we are incredibly proud of every student. Today’s results are a well-deserved reflection of their hard work and commitment, demonstrating, yet again, that at Eggbuckland, everyone can.”
