Exploring diversity, unity, and wisdom

Last week, RS students in Years 7 and 9 were lucky enough to hear a talk from guest speaker, Jonathon Marshall, from Plymouth Centre for Faiths and Cultural Diversity, entitled: ‘Exploring diversity, unity, and wisdom.’ Jonathon introduced students to key historical figures who had endured ‘the worst of humanity’ but persevered for the ‘best in humanity.’ Students were encouraged to consider how they might go about making a difference in the world by encouraging unity and challenging injustice.

Off the back of this, students have been given a Golden Ticket challenge to respond to the prompt: Everyone can…make a difference. Students have a week to write their response and winners will be shared in the following week.
