As we approach the final fortnight of school, Christmas has arrived at Eggbuckland!
Last week we saw some excellent sporting successes across a range of sports, including our Year 11 Boys Football team making it through to the quarter finals of the National Elite Cup. A huge thank you to PE staff for making these events happen: Year 11 Boys, Year 8 and 9 Rugby Festivals, U13 Girls Football, U16 Boys Football B Team, Year 7 Girls and Boys Football. Please see the Sports Update for more information and match reports. We also wished our two brilliant Divers, Louie M and Charlie C luck as they performed in the National Schools Diving Championships in Birmingham at the weekend.
Matilda rehearsals continue and we're starting to get excited for the show! It's been a while since we've done a musical at ECC and this is set to be an excellent show later in the academic year.
This week is the first in our series of Parents' Evenings, kicking off with Year 11. We look forward to welcoming parents and students to join us virtually this time - with the aim of being able to give families greater flexibility, making it easier to attend around busy family and working life. If you haven't yet booked appointments, you still have time! Guidance can be found on the College website.
With two weeks of term left, attendance remains priority. All students with 100% attendance this week will earn a Golden Ticket to go into our prize draw, and the same again next week. For the last 7 weeks, attendance has been up on the same weeks from last year which is excellent news. Thank you to all families for their ongoing support and commitment.
Mrs Bannerman was pleased to move into her newly refurbished super classroom this week and movement across the site is now much easier without the builder's compound. Thanks to everyone for their patience during the building works.
Well done to our Sparx Winners this week! 7SJW have made it to the top of the Year 7 Leaderboard for the first time, tied with 7HMG - congratulations, whilst 10CVN, 9MHW and 8GOC remain in the top spots in years 8 to 10.

Year 7: Lola May H
Year 8: Ruby R
Year 9: Kaiden H
