As shared previously, and is a common query we receive, it is recommended that Year 11 students complete approximately 2 hours of additional schoolwork past 3:05pm each day (that includes period 6).
To support your child’s revision, we will be putting on additional revision opportunities for your child after the school day. These will include general revision sessions as well as taught sessions which will target specific areas identified from the recent mocks.
Whilst the taught sessions are optional, we do recommend that students attend those which cover content which was not understood in the mocks - it is much easier to do this with a subject expert.
There are two types of revision session:
• Targeted revision, which will be taught by a subject specialist and work provided to complete. During these revision sessions, subject specialists will focus on specific topics to ensure that students receive thorough support. Students will be notified in advance of the topics that will be covered that week.
• Champions’ Hour, students can work on their own revision in the Sixth Form centre supervised by a member of the Leadership Team and subject specialists (computer access available).
The targeted revision sessions will start from Friday 28th November and will run until 5pm on specified dates.
