What a delight to take the majority of Year 9 students to either City College Plymouth or Plymouth University this week. Due to COVID, for many students this was their first trip since joining secondary school and the students were treated to activities at both of the Higher Education establishments to showcase what is on offer should they decide to move onto university after school or later in life. City College offered workshops in construction, engineering, media, sport and science. Students at Plymouth University participated in an eco-challenge.
All students also experienced a Q&A session with student ambassadors who were able to share their experience of university life and a tour of the campuses. As Year 9 move onto to start their GCSE studies we hope this experience will help inform their future decision making.
