As part of their weekly 200 word challenge, Year 7 and 8 have been writing ‘Letters to the Earth’. This initiative has been developed by a collective of actors, directors and playwrights who have asked for written responses to the climate and ecological emergency the world is now facing.
Students have emailed their letters and a selection will be read at a day of joint action on Friday 12 April across leading theatres and venues nationwide, including The Globe.
Students have shown a really keen interest and have written some beautifully creative responses. These ranged from letters to leading commercial brands to letters to ancestors warning them of the impact of their actions.
