National Apprenticeship Week

As this week is National Apprenticeship Week, #NAW23, all year groups took part in activities related to apprenticeships. Year 10 heard from Andrew Wallis, Apprenticeship Manager with Persimmon Homes and also the College’s Careers & Enterprise Company Enterprise Advisor. He provided information on opportunities within the construction sector.

Sixth Form students heard from ASK representative, Tracey Barnes, ATL about the apprenticeship application process and the current apprenticeship vacancies available on the government website, this includes some amazing higher and degree apprenticeship opportunities.

Finally, Sophie Toulson, our Curriculum Lead for Health Sciences shared her inspirational career journey to Year 11 students. Sophie has travelled extensively as part of her work with the National Citizen Service, at university and as part of her teaching career, she encouraged students to seize any opportunities that come their way to ensure they make the most of themselves and to develop the skills and knowledge to become employable in the future.
