Girls in Engineering
On ‘Girls into Engineering’ day, a group of Year 9 and 10 students visited the Tamar Bridge Visitor Centre for an inspirational tour of The Tamar Bridge, presentations from the Tamar Crossings Heritage Officer, a Babcock female higher apprenticeship about her career journey, and finally some hands on activities from a range of STEM employers, showcasing the wealth of opportunities within this sector.
Students fully engaged in this opportunity, enjoying the hands-on activities and presentations; I feel sure there are some budding engineers within this group of KS4 students. Plus, an added bonus was seeing ex-student Jess Crago at the event who was representing Cornwall College as a BD apprentice and she was able to share her experiences with the students. Great to see you our previous students doing so well!
