Future Friday Year 11 Assembly

Jo Birnie, HR Manager from the Security Industry Authority, a department within the Civil Service, spoke to our Year 11 students about the importance of attendance both in school and in the workplace. Jo explained the consequences of poor attendance within the workplace and how it can be costly if people lose their jobs because of poor attendance.

Developing good attendance habits at school will prepare students for the workplace, college or university, it is also useful evidence when wishing to demonstrate employability skills on applications, such as time management, reliability, team working and organisational skills. This assembly will be shared with Years 7 to 10 over the next few months to ensure all our students are aware of the importance of good attendance both in school and the workplace.
