How do we offer our support?

 

At Eggbuckland we have a total communication approach, from British Sign Language (BSL) to Oral Communication. Most students in the HSC wear hearing aids, but we also have students with Cochlear Implants. Our students also have access to Assistive Listening Devices (ALDs) to help them access spoken information in lessons as well as most of our classrooms being fitted with a Soundfield system.

We pride ourselves on how well our students progress in all aspects of school life while at Eggbuckland. We want our pupils to get involved with the full range of opportunities that Eggbuckland provide. HSC students make a fantastic contribution to the school and are valued members of the community. We aim for our students to become excellent deaf role models for future generations.
