TICK Value of the Week

Compassion

As today is Red Nose Day, it seemed fitting that this week has been about compassion. During tutor time, students have been learning what Red Nose Day is all about, the important work it does, and how we can all help build a better world.

On Red Nose Day, the nation comes together to raise money to help people affected by poverty, conflict and climate change in the UK and around the world. In schools across the country, students like ours will be baking cakes, taking on challenges, wearing Red Noses and dressing up to raise a smile, a laugh, and all-important money. The highlight of Red Nose Day is always the Friday evening TV show. This year’s telethon will include live performances, comedy sketches and celebrity challenges.

We have seen bake sales, sticker parades, and of course the highly anticipated staff forfeits will be coming next week. We have had to postpone these due to adverse weather, but it just gives us more time to raise even more money for a great cause… and stitch up the teachers!

So, if you can, donate some money via ParentPay. It is for a great cause that helps people in crisis right here in the UK.
