Alyssa Oates (a teacher of Geography and Physical Education) has just been selected to compete for Great Britain’s Elite Ladies Underwater OctopushTeam at the 2020 World Championships in Brisbane, Australia. At the British Octopush Association’s annual award ceremony she was also awarded the U24 Ladies player of the year trophy and Elite Ladies player of the year trophy for her sporting performance over the 2019 / 2020 season.
