On Thursday, the Performing Arts Department took thirty Key Stage 3 students to the Devonport Playhouse to see the pantomime Dick Whittington performed by local company Touchwood. This gave the students a chance to see first-hand everything they have been learning this term put into practice, including how to boo King Rat, cheer for the hero and get involved with the classic ‘it's behind you’. The students conducted themselves admirably, proving themselves excellent ambassadors of Eggbuckland. A huge thanks to staff for organising the trip and to parents for dropping off and collecting students. It was a wonderful evening that recognised the importance of creative learning outside of the classroom.
