On Monday, Eggbuckland went to Paignton to compete in the County Futsal Finals in the boys’ and girls’ Under-13 age group. The girls competed with 5 other teams and played all them ending with a record of 4 wins and 1 draw. We scored 8 goals and did not concede any. This amazing group of girls continued the success they’ve had recently and won this event on the amount of goals they scored.
The boys competed in this final last year after qualifying for it despite being under 12 rather that under 13. There were 8 teams and unfortunately a slow start in the first game cost us in the end. We finished runners up in our group and played in the third place play off which we won 3-0.
Well done to all involved and hopefully the girls will get an opportunity to play in the Regional Finals in a couple of weeks’ time.
