Learning Support and Enhanced Transition

Learning Support Team

Our Learning Support Team is here to support students who have or may have Special Educational Needs or Disability (SEND). We are based in the Michael Caddy Centre at the top of the main College site.

Full details of the type of support we offer can be found at

Our aim is to offer support in such a way that students with SEND play a full part in College life, can attend and enjoy learning in lessons with their peers.

The College also has a specialist Hearing Support Centre

Enhanced Transition

At Eggbuckland Community College we always aim to make sure that every experience we offer can be adapted to meet the needs of any of our students.

This is particularly important during times of transition and we offer various levels of enhanced transition, to support students with SEND, and others who have additional needs at these times.

We have been in touch with primary schools and in most cases have now received additional information to help us support your child.  We have also prepared some additional transition materials for this group of students and are keen to hear from you. If we have been notified by your child’s primary school that they would benefit from enhanced transition then we will be in touch during the week from 22nd June, using the email address you used for your school application.

This will include a link to the additional materials.

If you believe this applies to your child, but you have not heard from us by 26th June,  please contact us via the link below, giving his/her name and the school your child currently attends.
