Year 9 Plymouth Cup Final

We met DHSB in the Plymouth Cup Final this week. In a replay of a Devon Cup match earlier in the season we knew that DHSB would make the first 10 minutes tough. We got the perfect start though; when attacking down the left and a cross found its way to Aaron S who adjusted his feet to finish. 1-0 after 30 seconds and a great way to start. Dominating the possession and creating chances were our strengths but we needed a second goal. Quick feet from Joe R and a lethal shot across the goalkeeper eased any concerns and it was soon 2-0. Alfie S then had 2 goals ruled out for offside but did get on the scoresheet just before half time with a screamer from 25 yards that flew straight into the top corner.

In the second half we continued to control the game after making 4 substitutions. Joe R got two more goals to the half underway. Rowan E added a sixth before Aaron S became the second player to get a hat-trick and score 2 goals in 2 minutes. A good victory, a clean sheet and the boys playing in the right way to end the season was great to see.
