Eggbuckland are fielding two teams again this year at the Plymouth Central Venue Tournament which means that players have to work extra hard without the comfort of a break for substitutions. Eggbuckland 2 started off playing TorBridge and pressured them well to hold them to a 0-0 draw. They then continued to pass and pressure well as the rain set in against strong DHSB competition to take a 2-0 victory via a long range strike from Layton coupled with a calm finish from Alfie.
Eggbuckland 1 warmed up with a convincing 6-0 win against Lipson and then also took on Torbridge finishing with a 0-0 draw. Overall, 4 games with 2 wins and no goals conceded is a good platform for either team to push on and win the league.
