Year 7 Reading

It is well documented that young people who read widely are more successful in their studies, however lots of students find reading less interesting than other pastimes so stop reading much when they leave primary school. It is also sometimes hard to know what students should be reading or to find a book that they want to read. With this in mind, we will be introducing a range of initiatives from September to support reading across the College and we will be piloting reading aloud to Year 7 students for 15 minutes each day from Monday 29th April. The book that we have chosen to start with is White Fang by Jack London. We hope that they all enjoy the experience.
