This week Year 7 students had a presentation from Linda Hargreave, an Occupational Therapist working for Livewell. Linda provided information on the role of an Occupational Therapist within the NHS and the variety of job roles that link with an OT. Year 7 students have been taking part in the ‘Step into the NHS’ competition during their Future Friday tutor programme and hearing from a practitioner within the NHS adds context to what they are learning. As the NHS is the biggest employer within the city, it is important our students recognise the wealth of opportunity that exists within the NHS, and that they have the potential to be the future workforce.
