Each year Eggbuckland is invited to take part in a government funded visit to the battlefields and war graves in Belgium and France. This year Robbie Black, Liam Blackmore, Ashley Kent and Spike Davis were nominated to take part along with Mr Tolcher. They travelled to Ypres in Belgium with 10 other schools, 2 tour guides and soldiers from the Army.
They had an incredibly busy four days visiting a number of important sites, cemeteries and memorials which included attending the daily remembrance service at the Menin Gate. All involved found the experience very thought provoking and were moved by the opportunity to pay their respects to the many who lost their lives in the 1914-18 conflict on behalf of the whole Eggbuckland College community.
