The Year 7 and 8 girls qualified for the next round of the EFL Girls' Cup before Christmas with the best teams in the South due to play each other. This meant that Eggbuckland were up against teams from Bristol, Exeter and South Wales.
Not only were we representing Eggbuckland, but this time also playing as Plymouth Argyle. The girls won 5 of their 7 group games which qualified them for the quarter-finals and swiftly into the semi-finals. In the semi-final the girls had to play the one team they had previously lost against but they kept their cool and won with confidence.
In the final the girls were confident in their ability as a team and their skill, composure and determination paid off and another win came their way. The trophy was lifted with the announcement that the North /South regional finals will be held in Swindon, next month. If the girls win this next round they head to Wembley to play the finals! Come on girls everyone is behind you!
