We are delighted to say that we have now completed the first round of Lateral Flow tests. An incredible 96% of our students (over 1000) have completed their tests successfully. This is in addition to the hundreds that have taken place for staff and students in ‘Educare’ over the last few weeks. It is a relief to say that there have been no positive results!
We are extremely grateful to the huge efforts made by staff, students, volunteers and parents to make this unprecedented achievement possible.
As you will know, DfE guidance requires us to carry out two more tests on students at College before they can carry the tests out from home. These two further tests will be scheduled during College hours on the days below:
· Years 10 and 11 on Thursday 11th March and Tuesday 16th March
· Years 9, 12 and 13 on Friday 12th March and Wednesday 17th March
· Years 7 and 8 on Monday 15th March and Thursday 18th March
There is no need to complete another consent form. As before, students and parents/carers will only be informed of the result if it is positive.
From the 19th March students will be issued with test kits to be used at home. We will relay further information about their issue and usage at the end of next week. You can access further information about self-testing by accessing the link below:
