Supporting Student Mental Health
The subject of mental health is one that really matters to us at Eggbuckland and we will be running regular items in the newsletter and on our website to support students and parents. Mrs Pike is our Designated Mental Health Lead for the College and she will be working closely with our Inclusion Team to embed good mental health information, training and practice across the College, on our website and in the newsletter and student bulletin.
This week we are signposting you to the link, on an emerging area of our website focusing on Mental Health Awareness, https://www.eggbuckland.org.uk/mentalhealthawareness, where we have a fact sheet on anxiety. With anxiety growing as an issue for teenagers, we wanted to share some information from the Royal College of Psychiatrists that might be of interest to you.
Further information is provided, in the form of additional websites at the end of the help sheet, and your GP should be your first point of contact if you feel your child needs additional support and advice. Please also let your child’s tutor know of any concerns so that we can support in College as needed.
