This week we had the opportunity to have a live broadcast from Grayson Perry – contemporary British artist in ceramics, textiles and paint and presenter of Channel 4 Grayson’s Art Club. The Art Department could not contain their delight, as this is definitely a very rare occurrence and an amazing opportunity for our students. It’s also very fortunate that certain students at KS3 and KS5 are looking closely at his work at the moment. He reminded us to be authentic, that despite digital progression “drawing is still relevant” and that it is super important to get out and observe, visit museums and places of interest wherever you live, and have conversations with actual people.
