NEU Strike Days: 15 and 16 March

We anticipate that up to 50% of Eggbuckland staff may be on strike on the 15 and 16 March as they are co-ordinated national strike days across Wales and England rather than the two regional strike days earlier this year. Planning for this is particularly difficult because we will not know until the morning of each strike day how many teachers are taking action and therefore not in College.

With this in mind and to give our parents / carers as much notice as possible, we anticipate the following :

Wednesday 15th March : the College will be open to Years 7, 8, 12 and 13.

Thursday 16th March: the College will be open to Years 7, 9 , 12 and 13.

Work will be set for those year groups for whom the College is closed. During this vital time for Year 11, you will be expected to revise independently and make the very most of these days. More details and further clarification will follow early next week.

I appreciate that a further two days of strikes will cause you and your family much inconvenience and we sincerely apologise for this.
