Students at Eggbuckland have certainly been busy during National Careers Week, #NAW2020
We started the week with a Social Sciences Careers Carousel. Selected students studying Psychology, Sociology and Health and Social Care were invited to meet with local professionals including a nurse, trainee teacher, radiographer, physiotherapist, paramedic, midwife and social worker.
Years 7 and 8 had careers themed assemblies and Year 9 and 10 had assemblies preparing them for their off-site visits to the South West Skills Show and universities.
Years 12 and 13 had a presentation from NCS and the Youth Service about summer activities and volunteering opportunities. Some Year 12 students attended a Next Steps South West funded MADE Stepping Up workshop, a chance to further develop their study skills and some students visited Princess Yachts for their careers insight day.
Our CSW Personal Advisor, Mike Shail, provided a drop in IAG session in the canteen on Wednesday lunchtime as well as his usual guidance interviews for students.
