Mr Corrigan’s Scientists of the Week
A few weeks ago, one hundred of our Year 10 students attempted the National Scientific Thinking Challenge from Warwick University. 227 Schools from all over the world took part, including some from Portugal, the USA, Australia, Bulgaria, and Thailand.
Of the 13,652 students who entered the average score was 61%, just under 21 out of 34 marks on a pretty tricky challenge.
In order to claim the glory of a bronze medal, they needed 23 marks (top 40%) silver was 26 marks (top 25%) and gold (top 10%) needed 28/34.
We had 9 student earning bronze, one silver, and two impressive gold winners.
