Year 7/8 Girls National Cup Football
The girls once again faced the national cup competition draw, this time playing at Manadon Sports Hub against Great Torrington.
The girls once again played out of their skin and put away a 6-1 win. Fantastic efforts all round. Round 4 will see us face either Ivybridge or Torquay at home, any support would be more than welcome
Year 7/8 Girls Futsal
This year we managed to take 17 girls, 3 teams, to participate in the local Plymouth Futsal competition. Every team worked hard for each other playing at a high intensity throughout every match. 2 of our teams placed 3rd in their group stages and one of the teams flew through the semi-finals into the final eventually winning 3-1. Not only did we showcase our amazing girls playing football but also massive thanks to our Year 10 boys who helped to referee all the games.
Plymouth Schools Table Tennis
This year, for the first time in many years, not only were we able to enter a boys’ team but we were also able to enter an Under 14 girls’ team. An inexperienced girls’ team worked really hard and won a number of games. The Under 16 boys also played brilliantly and soon found themselves in the finals. After a nail biting final, which had to go into one final game of doubles, the boys beat their opponents to win the Plymouth schools competition. The boys now go through to the next round which will be held here in January.
Sports Leadership- Primary
Not only do our students represent the College through their physical ability, they are also fantastic leaders. Most recently our Year 9 leaders have helped with the Indoor Athletics and the Year 10s with the Primary Inclusion Games. Both of these events allow us to show off our outstanding sport students, their patience, communication and understanding of others. These skills are highly important for our students to learn and apply ready for future employment. Well done to all.
