Isaac striding one-shoed to be best in Devon!

Raring to go, Isaac lined up at the National Cross Championships with the 240 other runners, only for disaster to strike on the first corner. In the crowds he was spiked and lost his right shoe! Undeterred he raced the undulating course and still clocked 5:14 mile pace to come 3rd from the Devon runners and the top Year 8 runner from his team. A brilliant achievement which epitomises his tenacity and ‘never give up’ attitude. He is an absolute credit to the College and to our Sports Academy.

Isaac is now training with Plymouth Athletics Club alongside Dan Newman, an ex-Eggbuckland county runner who is currently at Marjon University. The summer athletics season bodes well!
