This week, our Year 7 and 8 students were lucky enough to receive a presentation from the Red Cross which highlighted the amazing work that the organisation does in supporting asylum seekers and refugees across the country. They gave the students an insight into what it would be like to find yourself in a country where you do not speak the language and are unable to support yourself. This was especially enlightening for our younger students as it links to the book, ‘Refugee Boy’ by Benjamin Zephaniah, which all students will read in Year 7 as part of our new tutor reading programme.
