Job opportunities advertised in the Plymouth Herald over the last year (Feb 2018 to Feb 2019) come from 8 large and thriving Plymouth employment sectors. In order of size, Plymouth’s main recruiters are from Health, Education, Wholesale and trade, Engineering, Construction, Manufacturing, public administration and defence.
All these sectors offer apprenticeships at level 2, 3 and higher as well as jobs with training from 16+. Some also offer apprenticeship degrees so that students can get their degree, an income and a guaranteed job at the end.
