Girls’ Football Update

Prior to Christmas the Year 9 and 10 girls beat Ivybridge 3-0 in Round 5 with goal scorers Mia, Amelia and Claudia. The girls move on to Round 6, the last 16 in England, which will be played by the end of January. This will be a home game and support would be really welcome.

Year 8 and 9 students travelled to Wadebridge to compete for a place in Round 6. On a very wet and muddy afternoon the girls fought really hard to get the first goal, once it came the confidence grew and the girls put another 4 away. Having practised corners the hour before, this was a real highlight of the game, scoring at least two from this area of the game. Goal scorers were Mia x2, Amelia, Roxy (direct from a corner), and Keesha. These girls now move into Round 6, the last 16 in England, with their next game also being played at home before the end of January. Support would be most welcome.
