Eggbuckland at the Theatre

There is a huge buzz in the media about the new play by Frantic Assembly which has started a national tour in Plymouth. On Thursday 8thFebruary, 40 Year 11, 10 and 9 Drama students went to see this fantastic production, I THINK WE ARE ALONE by Sally Abbott, co-directed by Kathy Burke and Scott Graham. I THINK WE ARE ALONE is a delicate and uplifting play about our fragility, resilience and our need for love and forgiveness. The pace and flow of the whole production was in keeping with the physical Frantic Assembly style and it allowed the students to see the transitions between scene and prop changes. Students could also make links to the issue-based drama we are tackling in our lessons this term.

Thank you to the ushers and members of public for their kind comments on how well behaved our students were and the joy one theatre goer had in over-hearing their conversations about the play and how it linked to what they are doing in lessons. As always, a big thank you to parents and carers for their support in running evening trips. I look forward to the next trip to see ‘Holes’ on 17/3/20.
