ECC students dominate a national writing competition!

We are so proud that 37 of our Year 8 students we entered into a national writing competition have been awarded a “Talent for Writing” certificate. Here are just a few of our 37 winners. In July, KS3 pupils entered ‘Young Writers’ national writing competition, ‘Spine Chillers’.

In their English lessons, pupils crafted, planned and wrote a spooky, spine-chilling mini saga in just 100 words.

The 37 winners will have their writing published in an anthology of pupils’ stories from all over the country! This is a fantastic achievement considering the many thousands of entries that will have been submitted nationally.

There will certainly be a few copies in our College library! An amazing achievement, well done to you all!
