A selection of students from across all year groups, who have expressed an interest in a career in the police, were invited to a presentation from the Devon and Cornwall Positive Action Team. Students heard about the different routes available to applicants, the required entry requirements including skills and qualifications and the importance of keeping themselves safe to avoid jeopardising future recruitment opportunities.
The session was very informative; showcasing lots of job roles and opportunities for students to get involved in either in a voluntary capacity or employment. It opened students minds to the range of job opportunities available within Devon & Cornwall Police that are not just police officers. Students also had the opportunity to ask questions.
