Covid update: October 22nd
Positive Covid rates in the South West are rising and Plymouth is no exception. New boxes of Lateral Flow Devices have been given to each student this week ( please check student bags!) and we are asking students and staff to increase testing themselves to 3 times per week for the next month.
We hope this will help quickly identify students/staff who have COVID-19 but are not showing symptoms. We would ask that tests are taken on Monday, Wednesday and Friday mornings, or Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings however fully understand if this does not fit into your busy routines.
LFD tests should only be used by people without symptoms of COVID-19. If your child’s LFD test is negative, and they remain without symptoms, they should attend College as usual. If the test is positive please inform us immediately and arrange for a confirmatory PCR test using the link below or by calling 119.
We are still strongly recommending face masks are worn in College, in particular when social distancing is impossible. Legally, we cannot enforce this, however as Covid rates continue to rise we do hope that when students return face masks will be worn. The College will be handing out one face mask to each student at the start of the new half term ( November 1st at 8:40am).
