There are Covid-outbreaks across the City and I do not know of a secondary or primary school that is not affected. Currently, we have some students from Years 7 and 9 isolating because they have come into contact with someone who is Covid-positive. With the new and very contagious variant of Covid hitting Plymouth, Public Health England are taking a very cautious approach to the advice they are giving schools and this explains the numbers of children across the City who are at home.
We have been extremely proud that the very large majority of our students are taking Covid-safety seriously and, amongst other measures, are wearing their face masks / screens in all lessons and when social distancing is impossible.
