Computing Students Try Out the Future
On Tuesday, Computing students from Years 8-11 enjoyed a Digital Workshop focussing on Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality technology. This really is technology for the future! The presentation was delivered by Professor Bob Stone and his team from Birmingham University.
Students were able to try out VR and AR Headsets, providing a real taste of what it is like to work with the latest technology and to see how powerful a tool it is. Feedback from the students was amazing, they all really enjoyed using the equipment. This opportunity provided an insight into the digital careers sector where there is a shortage of skills and highlights the growth area that exists within this industry.
