Carnegie Trophy Winners

This week, students in Year 8 represented the College in a showcase as part of the Carnegie Book Awards 2023.

Over the course of this year, these students have read the Carnegie Awards shortlisted books and were then asked to put together a presentation on one of the books, competing against other schools from around the city.

They have been working tirelessly during the last few weeks to put together a fantastic presentation on Medusa, by Jessie Burton, complete with props and costumes. All the hard work paid off as they were awarded 2nd place out of the groups of schools.

As an added bonus, the students also got to hear from Philip Reeve, author of Mortal Engines.

A massive well done to these students and Mrs Oakshott for all the time and effort put in.
