Carnegie Reading Awards
Mrs Simpson took Year 8 students, Sophie Priestley, Ellie Bennett, Paige Pattinson, Jessica Fleming, Lauren Crosley and Emily Ross, to represent the College at the annual Carnegie Reading Awards shadowing event held at Tor Bridge High on Tuesday 18th June. They performed their own dramatic presentation of the shortlisted novel ‘The House with Chicken Legs’ by Sophie Anderson, complete with props and costumes. The Carnegie Award-winning author Tanya Landman gave an inspirational and entertaining speech to the assembled group of students from ten Plymouth schools. It was a brilliant day and was thoroughly enjoyed by all!
