Best wishes to our Year 11 and 12/13

Our very best wishes go out to Year 11, 12 and 13 students as, from 22nd November until the first few days of December, they sit their first set of mock examinations. We recognise that you have worked so hard and do hope that your efforts are reflected in your results. These examinations will give students (and their parents/carers) a good idea of individual strengths and areas of their knowledge that need attention.

Whilst we all hope that full external examinations will occur uninterrupted from April 2022, we cannot take this for granted given the impact of Covid over the last 2 years. Therefore, the results from these mocks should be considered important as they will form part of the evidence built by our teachers for each student’s Teacher Assessed Grades. Whilst another national lockdown seems unlikely (fingers crossed) it may be that some students will catch Covid during the external examination season and therefore have to isolate and miss some exams; this is when Teacher Assessed Grades will be used. We apologise that this may add to the pressure students are already under, however it is important that you are aware of the situation.

There is a bank of revision videos made by our staff and available to our Year 11. These can be accessed through the link below:
