An opportunity to join a once in a lifetime trip to Kenya

Eggbuckland Community College is delighted to offer current Year 11 and Year 12 students the chance to join an exciting 9-night volunteering trip to Kenya in July 2024. This trip is organised by African Adventures (ATOL protected), who specialise in educational trips for young people in the U.K. The organisation is also a member of the School Travel Forum and has been awarded the Learning Outside the Classroom Quality Badge.

African Adventures’ partner schools provide an education for African children from underprivileged backgrounds. Students on the trip will support the long-term development of the schools through volunteering work. This can include teaching, building and coaching roles within the schools. In addition to volunteering, students will experience a Massai Mara Safari weekend, one of the world's most famous safari parks, to see the Big Five! Through support and workshops, we hope to support all students taking part to raise the majority of the trip costs through fundraising, which will develop their enterprise skills.
