An Inspiring Story

This week, students in Years 7 - 11 listened to an inspirational assembly from Mr Storer, who is currently a trainee languages teacher here at Eggbuckland. Mr Storer studied at a local Plymouth school then went onto university, followed by a 15 year career with British Airways that was cut short due to the COVID pandemic, he is now a trainee languages teacher. His is a truly inspiring story that resonated with many students and teachers and clearly demonstrated the importance of transferrable skills as well as qualifications.

As students return to studying in College following lockdown, it is important they recognise their aspirations and continue to work hard to realise them. Aim high, work hard and you can achieve great things.
