A Level Students Work With Local Artist

Emily Powell is an artist living in Brixham who is inspired by her local landscape and has a passion for colour. She has an increasingly high profile and will feature in a BBC documentary on 17th October. She kindly agreed to talk to our sixth form A level Artists about what inspires her, how she makes her wonderful Art and what influences her artistic style.

Via Zoom, students and staff chatted with Emily and enjoyed discovering how her art education helped shape her. Despite challenging times in Paris and brutal reviews from some critics, these all helped define her identity and strengthen her passion and drive.
